Diane Steinke
Diane Steinke joined Leadership Lincoln as the Office Administrator. Diane first became familiar with Leadership Lincoln through her daughters, who both participated in the Youth cohort as high school students. After most recently working at Nelnet and at the Nebraska Department of Education, Diane decided to return to the local nonprofit space where she previously had over a decade of experience.
Diane brings a strong background in organizational processes and technology support from her previous careers, as well as experience in communications and an English degree from UNL. Her passion for volunteering as a way to reach out and lift up others has led to many hours donated to First-Plymouth Church, Meals on Wheels, Matt Talbot Kitchen, Lincoln Literacy, and Lincoln Public Schools. She hopes to continue forging those community connections and suppoerting the leaders of Lincoln in her new role.
When she's not working, Diane spends time with her daughters Maren (Youth 26) and Jenna (Youth 28), her husband Nick (Executives 38), and her cats Ari Shapiro and Steve Inskeep. Originally from Iowa, she loves getting to know her adopted home of Lincoln and Nebraska through hiking, biking, camping, and photography - plus attending as many concerts as she can.
