Guided by expertise, passion, and a deep understanding of Lincoln’s needs, our staff ensure that every Leadership Lincoln program empowers emerging and established leaders to make meaningful contributions to our community.
Dylan Kitchen
Dylan Kitchen serves as the Director of Programming and Youth Engagement at Leadership Lincoln, where he designs and leads community‑centered programs that help emerging leaders grow, connect, and contribute to a stronger Lincoln. He brings a diverse background in public service, education, and youth development to the role.
Before joining Leadership Lincoln, Dylan worked in public relations at the Nebraska Department of Transportation, supporting statewide communication efforts and community outreach. Prior to his time at NDOT, he taught AP Government and Politics and Economics in Lincoln Public Schools and earlier served as the Youth Director at First‑Plymouth Church. Across each chapter of his career, he has been drawn to roles that strengthen civic understanding and empower people to engage with their community.
Dylan is grateful to be back in a purpose‑driven organization where mission and impact guide the work. Outside the office, you can usually find him on the pickleball court with his husband, Matt, traveling whenever possible, or spending time with their dog, Gus. (He may or may not still be celebrating their third‑place finish in the Cornhusker State Games.)
