With a shared commitment to civic engagement, leadership development, and community impact, our team works hand-in-hand with program participants, alumni, and community partners to create transformative experiences. Guided by expertise, passion, and a deep understanding of Lincoln’s needs, our staff ensure that every Leadership Lincoln program empowers emerging and established leaders to make meaningful contributions to our community.
Mick Hale
Mick Hale is a veteran educator with nearly 40 years of experience in both formal and informal spaces. Mick spent 18 years in public and parochial schools and another 15 years in museum education. From 2015-2020, Mick was the Executive Director of Leadership Lincoln, a nonprofit focused on community engagement and leadership development. In July of 2025, Mick returned to Leadership Lincoln in his previous role. Mick grew up in Pella, Iowa and came to Nebraska by way of Peru State College. Mick and his wife, Lisa, vice-president of Customer Service for LES, are active in the community supporting many civic causes. They have three children and two grandchildren they enjoy spending time with every chance they get.
